Since my last update, I've been battling the Pittsburgh winter.  Highlights include work on two new highline rolls, the "Squirrel Roll" and the "Magneto".

PITTSBURGH WINTER CAN'T STOP SLACKLIFE!  PHOTO CREDIT: EMILY WARNER Also, I have purchased a used drone that I am working on getting video feed to, so I can begin filming from the sky!The Squirrel Roll: a double kneedrop backwards roll.  I did this one on accident awhile back after overextending a static double kneedrop.   Of course, I haven't been able to recreate it! Currently I need a bit more amplitude on my initial bounces to get enough momentum to complete the roll.  I can get 335 degrees of rotation on a good attempt.  Pictures don't do this justice, and I refuse to post video until I land this bad boy. 📷

MICROCENDER-ASSISTED LEASH RETRACTION CONCEPT, FOR THE "MAGNETO"The Magneto Roll: a microcender-assisted standing exposure roll; i.e. a feet-planted Luke Skywalker, for those of you keep track of trick naming conventions.  The idea is the microcender allows you to retract the leash, and keep your feet in contact with the line the entire roll.  Of course, if you slip, you are pulling steel leash rings toward your face.  A helmet is definitely a must for my next attempts!  Again, pictures don't do this one justice either.  I've posted video to Slackchat of my initial attempt in the comments of a "Freddy on the Wire" post, where a cable walker with feet rings does the wire version of the trick. The Drone: I purchased a used DJI Phantom 2 Vision.  The company stopped supporting the software that runs the camera, so I am looking currently for 3rd party software (e.g Litchi), or I may just strap a GoPro to the camera, since the gimbal (stabilizer) works fine.  Hopefully I'll be posting incredible aerial angles soon!
